Chart-topping star Driemo, w h o continues to enjoy the limelight in Zambia, comes down to Blantyre tomorrow in a gig organised by Wayne Plug in partnership with Blues Bar and Restaurant.
Fresh from performances in Zambia and also dropping a track titled ‘Uleke’, which is currently enjoying airplay, Driemo confirmed the performance in the commercial city.
“I am excited and I cannot wait to jump on that stage to serve my music,” he said.
Dubbed Rhythm Republic, the concert will also bring performances of DJs West, Maaz, Wayne and Mutchie.
Wayne said he has organised the concert to serve people with entertainment especially a music outing coming from Driemo.
“I have not seen Driemo doing or getting books here in Malawi recently. It has also been a while since he performed in Blantyre. This is also part of celebrating my birthday,” he said.

The Lilongwe-based DJ said the show has been named Rhythm Republic because it is holding a performance artist and that rhythm stands for music.
“Republic is like an island of music. We actually decided to have it in Blantyre and not my base in Lilongwe because fun lovers in the commercial city always complain that they are sidelined whenever it comes to entertainment,” Wayne said.
He said they also have plans to hold another show of such magnitude in Lilongwe which will be part of celebrating the festive season.
“We promise nothing but a good show. We know as a country we are facing fuel shortages but we call upon them to come in large numbers,” Wayne said.
