KUALA LUMPUR: Motorists with long-outstanding traffic compounds in the capital can now settle their fines for as little as RM5 under a reduced-rate initiative introduced by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL).
DBKL said compounds for offences committed before 2021 would be reduced to RM5, while those issued from 2021 onwards would cost only RM10.
The reduced rates take effect immediately, covering both car and motorcycle owners.
In a Facebook post yesterday, DBKL said payments could be made at its payment counters, Pos Malaysia counters, through the PAY@KL application or via the PBTPay portal at https://pbtpay.kpkt.gov.my
The council called on vehicle owners to take advantage of the lower rates and settle their outstanding compounds.
