Prophet Makandiwa’s Daughter Rejoice Weds in Private Ceremony; Guests Reportedly Give Over $10 Million in Gifts
HARARE — Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa and his wife Ruth hosted a private wedding for their daughter Rejoice Makandiwa and Ropa (Ropafadzo) Kwaramba in Gletwyn on Saturday, sources said, with family members, church leaders and other guests presenting the couple with cash and property gifts valued at more than US$10 million.
The ceremony followed the couple’s traditional lobola proceedings held earlier this year at the Makandiwa family’s Glen Lorne hilltop mansion. Spiritual mentors Prophet Victor Kusi Boateng and his wife were among those present for the weekend event.

Images circulating from the gathering show Makandiwa walking with his daughter, who wore a white wedding gown with a long train, in an outdoor setting. Details of the guest list and exact breakdown of the gifts were not publicly confirmed by the family.
The United Family International Church founder and his family have historically maintained a low public profile regarding personal matters. The reported scale of the gifts quickly drew online discussion in Zimbabwe, with some users highlighting the display of wealth.
No official statement from the Makandiwa family or the Kwarambas detailing the gifts or the ceremony was immediately available.
