Moroccan airports handled more than 26 million passengers during the first eight months of 2026, an 8.81% increase from a year earlier, driven largely by growing air travel with Europe, according to the National Airports Authority (ONDA).

Casablanca’s Mohammed V Airport remained the country’s busiest, with 8.25 million passengers, followed by Marrakech Menara with 7.24 million and Agadir Al Massira with nearly 2.5 million.
Europe accounted for 19.27 million passengers, up 9.22%, while traffic with South America surged 33.53%. North American and African routes also recorded double-digit growth, although travel with the Middle East and Far East declined 2.43%.
Aircraft movements increased 9.72% to 190,342, while air cargo volumes rose 13.82% to 74,714 tonnes.
