The Kentucky volleyball team was back out on the court on Sunday, looking for a fourth straight win since their loss to the Florida Gators. Facing the Arkansas Razorbacks, the Wildcats dominated from start to finish to get the sweep, 3-0 (25-23, 25-11, 25-17).
The first set was the best one for Arkansas, who actually led 19-18 late in the set. They couldn't hold on, though, and dropped it 25-23. After that, Kentucky flexed their muscle, and the final two sets weren't close.
As they did their last time out, against Oklahoma, three Wildcats had double-digit kills. Brooklyn DeLeye led the way with 15, followed by Morgan Gaerte and Asia Thigpen, who each had 11. Kassie O'Brien was terrific, as always, recording 41 assists. Gaerte was also very good defensively, and was credited with five blocks, as was Lizzie Carr.
The Wildcats are now 15-3 on the year, and 7-1 against the SEC, with the only blemish coming against Florida. The Cats have a big one coming up next. On Wednesday, they'll travel one state south to take on the Tennessee Volunteers. That will begin at 7:00 P.M. ET.
