This fall, Lady Gaga has gently set aside pop superstardom for the busy life of a new mom; the singer and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, welcomed a child together—a daughter named Rose Bean Polansky—in September.
Sure, there will likely be, sadly but understandably, no new Gaga album or tour in the immediate future—but that doesn’t mean her personal style is going anywhere. The proof? This weekend, Gaga was spotted leaving a hair salon in the Bay Area in one of her signature accessories: a sky-high pair of shoes.

Over the years, Gaga has worn all manner of death-defying heels—including 10-inch platforms by labels like Pleaser—even bringing them to the Paris Olympics in 2024. She kept up that avant-garde energy this weekend in a staggeringly high pair of platform boots. (You’ve got to love her version of mom-on-the-go footwear—but did you really expect to see her dashing about in New Balances?)
Yet there were hints at a more practical approach to dressing in her errand outfit, too: Gaga went classic in jeans and a faded black tee, topping them off with a black knit cardigan cape and sunglasses. She also carried an XXL tote bag—presumably filled with all of baby Rose’s essentials.
But if Gaga is going to do one thing, it’s remain devoted to a killer shoe. After all, this is the star who once said she would “rather die than have my fans see me without a pair of heels on.”
