RMB Namibia has contributed N$75 000 towards the NaTIS on Wheels Truck Initiative supporting the Ministry of Works and Transport’s efforts to bring essential NaTIS services closer to underserved and remote communities across the country. The contribution was formally handed over to the ministry as part of RMB Namibia’s ongoing commitment to supporting initiatives that promote inclusive access, strengthen service delivery and contribute to Namibia’s broader development agenda.
The NaTIS on Wheels initiative is designed to take key NaTIS services directly to communities that may face challenges accessing traditional service centres due to distance and limited infrastructure. By bringing services closer to citizens, the initiative has the potential to reduce the need for long-distance travel while improving convenience and accessibility.
“At RMB Namibia, we believe sustainable development is driven by practical solutions that improve access, create opportunities and enhance the quality of life for communities,” said Daniel Motinga, Chief Executive Officer of RMB Namibia. “The NaTIS on Wheels initiative is a meaningful example of this. By bringing essential services closer to underserved communities, it helps create a more inclusive and responsive service environment for Namibians, regardless of where they live.”
Beyond improving accessibility, the initiative is expected to contribute to reducing congestion at major NaTIS service centres, improving operational efficiency and enhancing the overall customer experience.
For RMB Namibia, the sponsorship also reflects the important role that collaboration between government and the private sector can play in advancing national development.
“Meaningful national development requires partnerships built around shared goals and a commitment to creating positive outcomes for society,” Motinga added. “When government and business work together, we can help accelerate progress and support initiatives that have a lasting impact on communities.”
As a trusted financial partner to the Namibian economy, RMB Namibia continues to support the country’s development priorities, including road infrastructure financing and broader government-led initiatives aimed at strengthening economic growth, connectivity and service delivery.
RMB Namibia commended the Ministry of Works and Transport for its leadership in advancing the NaTIS on Wheels initiative and for its commitment to improving access to government services.
Through its contribution, RMB Namibia joins other stakeholders in supporting a more accessible and efficient service delivery model, one that helps ensure that geography does not become a barrier to accessing essential services. – newsroom@nepc.com.na
