Under the theme "The Beginning of Seoul, Amsa," the festival will offer a range of programs where visitors can experience life and culture from the prehistoric era 6,000 years ago.
The opening ceremony on Oct. 16 will feature performances by Space A, Wax and Seol Woon-do, along with a drone show.
A talk concert with archaeologist Kwak Min-soo and webtoon artist Lee Jong-beom is set for Oct. 17, followed by a talk concert with Go master Lee Se-dol on Oct. 18.
The closing performance will feature Shin Hyo-beom, So Chan-whee and Nam Jin, capped by a fireworks show.
A nighttime light festival and media facade display will run daily from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. during the festival. Family programs including prehistoric barbecue and pit-house building are also planned.
"I hope visitors will come with family, friends and neighbors to experience Gangdong's history and charm and create special memories," Gangdong District Mayor Lee Su-hee said.
