KUCHING: A teacher was injured while trying to wrest a sharp object from a student at an international school here this morning.
In a notice to parents, guardians, staff and students, the school said the incident was isolated and no other injuries were reported.
The student was subdued before being taken to the principal's office and placed under supervision.
Police arrived shortly after and contacted the student's parents.
The injured teacher received treatment after the school called an ambulance before being taken to hospital.
All students were immediately evacuated to ensure their safety.
