I always enjoy coming to this part of Alvor, where the village opens onto the Ria de Alvor.

It feels easy and unhurried here, with fishing boats on the water, the light shifting across the estuary, and cafés and restaurants nearby.
The waterfront is a lovely place to take a little stroll and watch the boats. You can stop for a coffee or a relaxed bite at Café na Ria, or enjoy fish and seafood at A Ribeira, which has a view over the water.
Visit Portimão’s tourism guide highlights Alvor’s fishing-boat views and its local seafood restaurants.

Afterwards, you can explore Alvor’s centre, streets and village atmosphere, or carry on for a longer walk along the boardwalk beside the estuary. It is an easy way to spend a few hours enjoying the boats, the water and this lovely corner of Alvor.
