The Water Corporation has four projects planned across Yanchep to upgrade the existing water and wastewater systems.
The four projects are new water and wastewater infrastructure along Marmion Avenue, upgrades to existing wastewater infrastructure and new pipeline connections, a new water pipeline to increase the water supply available, and new wastewater infrastructure in the Yanchep Junction residential development and along Botanical Boulevard.
The Marmion Avenue project is expected to start soon and finish in early 2028, while the Yanchep Junction project is set for early 2027 and will take about 15 months to complete.
Timelines for the other two projects have not been announced yet.
Impacts on residents are expected and include temporary traffic changes, temporary water interruptions, changes to road verges and public areas, and noise and dust from construction activities.
The Water Corporation said it would work closely with contractors to minimise impact and provide advance notice of planned work.
Residents in Yanchep have previously reported low water pressure in the area.
A Water Corporation spokesperson said while the organisation responds to enquiries about water pressure and quality as they arise, the projects were being delivered to support growth and maintain service reliability.
“These projects will increase network capacity and strengthen local infrastructure to meet future demand,” they said.
“Further project-specific information, including timing and expected community benefits, will be released as planning and approvals progress.”
