The Director General (DG) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Abdulaziz Yari, has reassured President Bola Tinubu that the council will not fail to deliver him during next year’s presidential election.
Speaking to newsmen after the PCC’s inaugural strategic meeting in Abuja on Tuesday, the former governor of Zamfara State described the parley as a very short one.
He issued an ultimatum to the directorates to meet and come up with their work plan and how best they are going to carry out the responsibility.
“This meeting is a short one. What we did, we directed the directorates to go and work to come up with their work plan and how best they are going to carry out this responsibility.”
“We reminded them that we are all here on trust. Each and every person who sits down under this roof is a trustee of the president. The president trusted us and he gave us this responsibility. We must carry it out well and very, very well,” he assured.
On the campaign council traversing the country, especially some royal fathers in the northern and southern parts of the country, he said: “We are still on with traditional rulers. As I said, we are visiting the royal fathers because we just want to seek their blessings. We need their prayers. And being the authority closest to the masses of the country, we need to go and explain to them where we are and where we want to go.”
“So the next is Kaduna on October 24. And then from there, the journey continues until January 16, 2027. At the end, by God’s grace, you know the result,” he said.
