INCHEON — The city of Incheon and Incheon Technopark held the third Incheon University Alliance Startup Competition at Songdo Convensia on the 15th, with 13 local universities taking part. The event showcased the results of a four-month startup academy involving about 140 university students, with 24 teams advancing to the finals after camps and business model development programs.
Two club-division teams — Dapulo of Inha University and Eyelit of Chungwoon University — have already launched businesses, while two teams in the general division are preparing to do so.
The grand prize winner and the top team in the general division will receive a trip to an IT exhibition in Osaka, Japan, in November. The city said it will continue supporting programs that nurture innovative startups founded by young entrepreneurs.
