It's official: Meghan and Harry have set up camp back in the UK following their announcement in August. After a month of settling in, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped straight back into the swing of things in Nottingham, visiting the Community Recording Studio (CRS) youth project for their first public appearance since their return to Blighty.
Looking the part, the philanthropist stepped out in a rich burgundy look that felt entirely right for autumn. Taking a closer look at the pieces, she's clearly leaning into British labels.
The mother-of-two wore Joseph’s Dona wool-cashmere blend coat over a matching roll-neck jumper, tucked into Fold’s crepe Oliena skirt. Her ensemble was cinched at the waist with a belt that looks identical to M&S's Leather Triple Keeper Jeans Belt and finished off the look with round-heeled pumps by Jennifer Chamandi. Her veteran husband walked beside her in a grey blazer, a white shirt, jeans, and loafers.
Nottingham holds a special place in their story. It was the exact spot where they carried out their very first joint appearance after announcing their engagement in 2017, back when she also wore a skirt by the London label Joseph.
Nearly a decade on, they're back doing what they do best: shining a light on grassroots community causes. The Suits has always been such an intentional dresser, and she’s a master at mixing high-end pieces with contemporary, everyday labels. There’s no shadow of a doubt that we’ll be seeing even more of this high-low styling from her moving forward, especially as she supports more homegrown British brands.
