SC Villa climbed to the top of the Uganda Premier League table after thrashing Police FC at their own backyard with a ruthless 6-1 thrashing at Kira Road Police Arena.
The victory takes the Jogoos to 14 points from six matches, level with NEC FC but ahead on goal difference, while Police remain ninth with seven points after a painful afternoon on home turf.
Villa wasted little time announcing their intentions, with Ibrahim Kasinde opening the scoring in the ninth minute after connecting with a well-delivered corner from John Asiimwe.
The visitors doubled their advantage five minutes later through Asiimwe, who finished off a beautiful attacking move after Frank Sebuufu laid the ball into his path.
Villa continued to dominate and struck again in first-half stoppage time when Sebuufu found the net, with Isaac Mpagi providing the assist to send the visitors into the break with a commanding 3-0 lead.
The Jogoos returned for the second half with their appetite for goals intact, and Patrick Jonah Kakande made it four in the 49th minute, piling more misery on the hosts.
Sebuufu then completed his brace in the 59th minute, finishing off Kasinde's impressive run and pass to make it 5-0 as Villa's attacking display turned into a rout.
Police managed a consolation goal in the 84th minute, but Villa responded almost immediately, with Jonathan Sausa scoring in the 85th minute to complete the six-goal haul.
The goal was a special moment for the youngster, who registered his first senior goal for Villa and capped a memorable afternoon for the visitors.
The emphatic result sends Villa to the summit of the league standings on 14 points, ahead of NEC on goal difference, while Police remain ninth on seven points after conceding six goals at their own ground.
