Naver Cloud said on Oct. 12 that it signed a memorandum of understanding with FPT on Oct. 8 at Naver 1784 in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, agreeing to discuss cooperation across the AI factory business from planning to development and operation. FPT is a leading Vietnamese global information and communications technology company that serves as an Nvidia cloud partner and is expanding its local AI cloud business.
The partnership centers on linking the two companies' GPU infrastructure, cloud technology and customer networks to jointly identify AI factory and GPUaaS business opportunities across the Asia-Pacific region.
The two companies will jointly seek out AI infrastructure demand in regions that individual firms would find difficult to address alone. For companies and AI service providers that need large-scale GPU resources for AI training and inference, they will provide everything from GPU infrastructure to AI models and services, helping customers reduce the burden of building their own infrastructure and adopt AI quickly.
The companies will also strengthen engineering cooperation to apply AI technology at actual industrial sites. They plan to run a regular technology exchange program involving Naver Cloud's Vietnam development center, its headquarters technical staff and FPT engineers.
At customer sites, they will jointly take on tasks including GPU infrastructure optimization, AI inference performance improvement and building real service environments for AI agents. The strategy goes beyond simply supplying GPU resources to supporting the process of applying AI to actual services tailored to each company's environment.
