Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Iraq-based airline Fly Erbil announced on Thursday that it had obtained an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) by the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority (ICAA)—a milestone the company says paves the way for a new phase of development and the expansion of its flight network.
The airline said in a statement that obtaining the license is a result of years of diligent work by its management and employees in different divisions.
Fly Erbil reaffirmed its commitment to safety and security requirements, as well as the regulations of the aviation sector.
The company mentioned that the step supports the development of air transport in both Iraqi Kurdistan and throughout Iraq.
The airline plans to broaden its flight network by adding more Iraqi cities and introducing new destinations both regionally and globally. Additionally, it aims to enhance its services to comply with international standards and meet travelers’ expectations.
The Iraqi Kurdish airline based at Erbil International Airport emphasized that obtaining this certification marks the beginning of a new phase in its journey.
