The family and management of the late Nigerian gospel singer, Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, have disowned a viral social media fundraiser, warning the public that the campaign is entirely fraudulent.
Following the sudden passing of Toluwanisings in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, bad actors quickly created a fraudulent campaign.
The unauthorized flyer circulated under the name of The Tolaoluwa Foundation.
Titled “In loving memory of Minister Olayemi Bayonile (ToluwaniSings)”, it urged well-wishers to donate money online to support his widow and children.
Reacting to the development, the late singer’s family and his close friend, fellow gospel singer Lanre Alewilese, posted a screenshot of the scam marked with a prominent warning on Toluwanisings’ verified Instagram page.
They urged the public to completely disregard it and massively report the accounts sharing the links.

Fans, sympathisers and members of the public were urged to verify any fundraising initiative through the singer’s official platform before making financial contributions.
The development follows the announcement of Toluwanisings’ death on October 14, 2026, which prompted an outpouring of condolences from fans and members of the gospel music community.
