The Washington Commanders showed up in the 2nd half against the San Francisco 49ers, but they couldn’t complete the comeback, losing 23-17. Terry McLaurin suffered a serious knee injury, and more time management issues came up during the game, raising questions for Quinn and Jayden Daniels. They spoke to reporters after the game, answering game management questions after a 4th down throwaway, and timeout usage at the end of the 4th quarter.

Intentional grounding:
#Commanders QB Jayden Daniels said he felt taking the intentional grounding penalty was worth it rather than eating the sack. All of his receivers were downfield, so that might've burned more time than the 10-second runoff.

Would've helped if he had an outlet underneath.
