The Bosch Group in Hungary has launched a nationwide program for high school students on the application of artificial intelligence (AI). This school year, they plan to provide theoretical and practical instruction to approximately 800 students in 20 high schools.
The main goal of the program is for young people to learn how to use AI responsibly at an early age: to become familiar with the tools that can support them in their daily lives while allowing them to retain their creativity. In addition, the program emphasizes the importance of critical thinking and the associated risks, the company stated in response to a question from MTI.
The curriculum is continuously updated due to the extremely rapid development of the technology. Even during practical exercises, the program does not stick strictly to predetermined topics.
Students can experiment within their own areas of interest, allowing them to directly experience how AI can be used to solve various problems and creative tasks. In addition to presentation-creation applications, the program also emphasizes image and video generation, they wrote.
Bosch is utilizing its own resources for the program, and
the company’s experts—including AI specialists and software engineers—are involved in designing and running the courses.
Initially, they reached out to high schools located near Bosch facilities in Hungary—in Budapest, Hatvan, Eger, and Miskolc—but the initiative is nationwide, and the company is open to collaborating with high schools in every county, they wrote.
As a close strategic collaboration among ten independent companies within the Bosch Group, it is one of Hungary’s largest foreign industrial employers, with more than 16,800 employees here.
The country has also made it into the top 20 in the global rankings.Continue reading
