NASCAR's revamped season-long championship format The Chase is heading to Talladega for the Yellawood 500 and a full weekend of racing.
The YellaWood 500 race is at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25 at Talladega Superspeedway. Driver Chase Briscoe is the defending fall race winner while Carson Hocevar earned his first career victory in the spring 2026 race. Both are in the midst of the NASCAR Chase and looking for a win to boost their chances of winning the title.
The Truck Series race is 3 p.m. CT Friday, Oct. 23. The race will air on Fox. Gio Ruggiero is the defending champion while Grant Enfinger, a two-time winner at the track including a victory in 2024, is in the field as well.
The O'Reilly Series race will air on the CW and stream on the ESPN app. The race starts at 2:30 p.m. CT Saturday, Oct. 24. Austin Hill will try to defend his race win from a year ago while Corey Day won this spring at the Alabama track.
Here's a prediction of who will take the checkered flag in each race at Talladega Superspeedway this weekend.
Love's Stop 225 Truck Series Race
Max's Pick: Kaden Honeycutt
Honeycutt has won three of the past six races this season and has 14 top-five finishes this year. There are two past champions, Enfinger and Ruggiero, in the field, but both have struggled this season. Honeycutt has been the class of the series and he'll get his first win at Talladega this weekend, all but clinching his title.
The Progress Group 250 O'Reilly Series race
Max's Pick: Corey Day
Day won the spring race at Talladega and has been consistent all year with 20 top-10s and 11 top-fives. The 20-year-old is an up-and-coming driver and will prove that again with another win at Talladega that helps him chase down leader Jesse Love in the series' Chase. Day comes in hot with four straight top-fives, including two wins in that span.
YellaWood 500 Cup Series Race
Max's Pick: Ryan Blaney
Blaney is a three-time winner at the track and, of the multi-time winners, maybe has the best chance to add another checkered flag at the historic track. Blaney is fifth in the standings with 22 top-10s and 11 top-fives on the year. He comes in with four straight top fives and seems to be peaking again at the right time with a win at Atlanta earlier this year.
