Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) stock could reach a $10 trillion market capitalization by the end of the decade, driven by its dominance in artificial intelligence (AI), according to OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
Based on a market capitalization of approximately $5.54 trillion and a share price of $229.28, Nvidia would need to gain about 80.5% to reach the milestone, assuming its share count remains broadly unchanged.
ChatGPT identified the second half of 2030 as its central estimate, with a potential window between 2029 and 2032.
At the current share price, Nvidia stock would need to rise to approximately $413.80 to reach the target.
Under different growth scenarios, Nvidia could reach $10 trillion around December 2030 with annual market capitalization growth of 15%, February 2030 at 20%, or July 2029 at 25%. At 30% annual growth, the milestone could arrive as early as January 2029.
Nvidia stock fundamentals
At the same time, ChatGPT noted that Nvidia’s latest results support the growth outlook. For the second quarter of fiscal 2027, ended July 26, the company reported revenue of $96.2 billion, up 106% year over year.
Data-center revenue reached $89 billion, up 117%, while GAAP gross margin stood at 75% and GAAP earnings per share came in at $2.46.
For the third quarter, Nvidia guided for revenue of $108 billion and a GAAP gross margin of approximately 74%, plus or minus 0.5 percentage points.
Meanwhile, analysts project Nvidia’s fiscal 2027 revenue at $411.65 billion, rising to $692.21 billion in fiscal 2028, while earnings per share are expected to increase from $9.31 to $15.91. Reaching the $10 trillion milestone will depend on sustained AI demand and earnings growth.
Nvidia’s expansion
Continued AI computing demand could sustain earnings growth as Nvidia expands beyond GPUs into networking, CPUs, and integrated AI infrastructure.
In August 2026, the company announced plans with Amazon Web Services to deploy an additional two million GPUs across AWS infrastructure. Its next-generation Vera Rubin platform was also ramping into production.
However, these deployments will not translate into immediate revenue. Customer spending, product delivery and adoption will determine their financial impact.
On the other hand, Nvidia also faces risks from slower AI infrastructure spending, competition from AMD and custom chips, China export restrictions, and manufacturing constraints. Combined, these elements could derail the technology giant’s path to $10 trillion.
