Overseas medical benefits reach S$2m whilst eligible travellers also receive baggage protection.
Travel disruptions have become more frequent following an improving trend in early 2025, citing strong travel demand, airspace constraints, volatile weather, rising fuel costs and interconnected flight networks as contributing factors, according to Allianz Insurance Singapore.
Delays can lead to missed connections, extended layovers, unexpected accommodation costs and baggage problems, increasing the financial risks faced by travellers.
Allianz said its Allianz Travel Protect product provides coverage for travel delays of up to $2,310 (S$3,000), overseas medical expenses of up to $1.54m (S$2m), and lost or delayed baggage.
The policy also includes automatic extensions for covered reasons when trips are unexpectedly prolonged.
The product provides support for emergency medical care overseas and helps cover eligible expenses arising from travel disruptions.
Allianz said travel protection can help travellers manage unexpected costs and changes to their itineraries as flight networks become more complex.
The insurer added that travellers are increasingly considering how to manage disruptions alongside planning their destinations, as delays and other travel problems can affect both their budgets and schedules.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW
Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.
Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.
We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.
If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
