A man who was mauled in a vicious dog attack in Brisbane faces a long road to recovery after suffering serious injuries.
Real estate agent Ajay Malik, 37, was running through 7th Brigade Park in Chermside on Friday evening when he was attacked by two dogs.
First responders rushed to help Mr Malik while the dogs were still attacking him.
He suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for urgent care.

Mr Malik’s family have started a GoFundMe to help him and his wife with medical and living costs while he recovers from his injuries.
GoFundMe organiser Aryan Sirohi said an ordinary evening for Mr Malik turned into a frightening and life-changing experience.
“Ajay now faces a long recovery, both physically and emotionally,” he said.
“(He) will be unable to work for a long time. That means a significant loss of income for him and his wife, at the same time as medical and rehabilitation costs begin to add up.

“We are raising $300,000 to help cover months of living costs and recovery expenses, so Ajay and his wife can focus on his healing rather than on bills.”
Two days after Mr Malik was attacked, the body of a 48-year-old Chermside man was discovered in bushes in the same area.
Police and Brisbane City Council officers were investigating the dog attack when the man’s body was found near Kittyhawk Drive.
Detective Superintendent Andrew Massingham said a post-mortem had been completed, but key questions remained unanswered.

The man was known to frequent the bushland around Kittyhawk Drive and often slept rough in the area, where police believe a small number of homeless people had been staying in makeshift camps.
“Due to the body’s state of decomposition, police are unable at this time to rule out any potential involvement of the dogs involved in Friday night’s attack,” Superintendent Massingham said.
“So in terms of the analysis from the post-mortem today, we can’t rule out that the dogs have had an interaction with the deceased either before or after his death.”
