We’ve hit that point in the year where we have both Kentucky Football and the return of men’s basketball!
It’s a big week for Kentucky Football coming off an upset of LSU at Kroger Field Saturday night. Now sitting at 5-1 and ranked 15th in the country in the AP Poll, the Cats hit the road for a big matchup against the Oklahoma Sooners, who are coming off a huge win of their own, knocking off rival Texas in the Red River Shootout after the Longhorns came in ranked #1.
The Cats will face off once again with a highly-ranked defense, as the Sooners are among the top 15 nationally for fewest yards allowed per game, and rank 7th for fewest passing yards allowed per game.
This will be only the 4th matchup between Kentucky and Oklahoma on the football field, and the first one since 1982.
We’ll also see the Kentucky Basketball team hit the floor this season for their first exhibition game on Friday night, hosting Little Rock, led by Travis Ford.
With no scrimmage at Big Blue Madness and no Blue-White game, this will be the first time many fans will see this Kentucky Basketball team on the court together.
It will also be a nice opportunity to welcome Travis Ford to Lexington. Of course, Ford was the one who hosted Kentucky head coach Mark Pope on his visit to Kentucky when Pope transferred from Washington.
It’s a big week for the football and basketball teams!
