The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has outlined the requirements for Pakistani citizens aged 18 and above who want to apply for their first Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).
Applicants whose parents or siblings are registered with NADRA must prepare the required documents before submitting their applications.
They must provide the CNIC number of a parent or blood relative, along with the Child Registration Certificate (B-Form) number or the Computerized Birth Registration Certificate’s CRMS number.
Applicants can have their application forms verified through biometric authentication by a parent or a sibling aged 18 or above. If biometric verification is not possible, a gazetted officer or public representative can verify the application form.
For applicants born abroad, NADRA requires a foreign birth certificate, an S1 form, or a citizenship or naturalization certificate. Applicants can visit their nearest NADRA Registration Center to submit their applications.
