LLM has apologised for TuJu disruptions following a surge in users, pledging to investigate technical issues and improve system stability and navigation accuracy.
PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) has apologised to users of local navigation application TuJu following service disruptions linked to a surge in demand.
In a statement today, LLM said it would work with the application’s provider, Prosignal Consortium Sdn Bhd, to investigate the cause of the disruptions, stabilise the system and increase its capacity to accommodate the growing number of users.
“LLM apologises for the inconvenience caused to users,” it said.
The authority also acknowledged feedback regarding navigation functions, route accuracy and the overall user experience.

It said further improvements would be introduced to make the application more stable, accurate and user-friendly.
“Improvements will continue to be made to ensure that TuJu provides a more stable, accurate and user-friendly service.
“We understand user trust needs to be built through reliable service. TuJu’s improvements will not be limited to system stability. We will also improve navigation functions, information accuracy and the ability to meet users’ needs,” it said.
LLM added that it would continue collaborating with the Works Ministry, the National Cyber Security Agency and other relevant parties to strengthen Malaysia’s local navigation ecosystem, including addressing security and data governance concerns.
The increase in TuJu users followed Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s recommendation of the application as an alternative to Waze, a navigation platform founded in Israel.
The government also directed civil servants to stop using Waze, following a decision made at a National Cyber Security Committee meeting on Oct 20. The directive was communicated through a letter issued by Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar.
However, TuJu has faced criticism from users on social media platforms, including Threads, over reported navigation problems, limited real-time traffic incident information and technical glitches affecting the user experience.
