By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Belize Water Services is warning customers about a recent increase in water meters being removed from homes without authorization.
In a notice to customers, BWS urged residents to stay alert and regularly check their meter installations.
Signs to look out for include missing or damaged meters, disturbances around the meter area, or unknown people tampering with meters.
Customers whose meters have been affected are asked to report it immediately by calling 222 4757 or 614 2975, so BWS can help restore service as quickly as possible.
BWS says the matter has been reported to the relevant authorities and legal action will be taken where necessary.
