It’s a lot of intra-conference and even intra-division games. I’m slightly rooting for Arizona because I would love to see LA as behind the eight ball as possible before Myles Garrett comes back online.
49ers rule out Bosa for Monday, still hopeful for Evans, Juszczyk
“Asked about Evans’ status for the game, Shanahan said, “We’ll know on Monday,” though it’s worth noting that Evans has already played in games this year after missing practices during the week with injury.
As for Juszczyk, he has no injury designation and will return from the knee sprain and bone bruise he suffered in Week 4 against the Denver Broncos.”
Why Sebastian Valdez remained loyal to 49ers when he had chance to leave
“I believe in this team,” Valdez told NBC Sports Bay Area. “I believe in the system that we have. I believe in everything (the 49ers) strive for. And I know the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. So, yeah, I made the decision to stay.”
Five 49ers players to watch in Week 6 matchup vs. Jayden Daniels, Commanders
“Styles is ultra-talented, but there could be some opportunities for the 49ers to get tight end George Kittle matched against him on certain pass routes.
Styles has given up 11 completions on 16 targets for 162 yards and a touchdown, according to PFF.
Kittle should be feeling strong this week after being limited due to an illness against Seattle. He caught five passes for 24 yards.
Kittle will have to get more involved in the passing game with the 49ers playing without so many of their wideouts.”
49ers vs. Commanders: The Standard’s 5 fast predictions (paywall)
“Kawakami: 49ers 27, Commanders 14. Even with all their injuries and counting the lack of high motivation, the 49ers have too much talent to sweat much in this one. I think they could easily get to 30 on Monday, but Shanahan might tap the brakes fairly early in the fourth quarter against his buddy Dan Quinn.”
Kyle Shanahan shares final updates ahead of 49ers-Commanders
“No, we would have been pleasantly surprised if Bosa could go this way, so I was pleasantly surprised that he was that optimistic last week, but we still would have been surprised. This is kind of what we were expecting. There was a chance. He wasn’t wrong when he said it and I think he felt that way, but we were going to make sure it was fully good and another week will help.”
49ers safety fined for uncalled hit on final drive vs. Seahawks
“Well, the NFL deemed Mustapha’s hit “a hit on a defenseless player’ when issuing the fine, although the play was not flagged for a penalty in real time.
Had that been called, Seattle may have had 1st & 10 at the 49ers 35-yard line with over a minute left, needing only a field goal to tie.
Instead, the 49ers are now 5-0, while the Seahawks are 3-3 following their loss to the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football.”
