Alec Ounsworth and co. will also tour in 2027

Alec Ounsworth dug through the morass of a breakup and the recent deaths of those close to him to arrive at Burned, his first Clap Your Hands Say Yeah in five years. The 10-track effort, which was produced by frequent collaborator Nick Krill, arrives January 29 via Ounsworth’s CYHSY label. You can listen to the first single, “Fever of the Mind,” below, along with an extensive list of stateside and European tour stops.
“This was the song that sort of thematically and sonically guided the rest of the album,” said Ounsworth of “Fever.” “Maybe the most important thing for me is to establish that first and then shape the other songs around it.”
In 2025, Ounsworth completed an anniversary tour of his band’s acclaimed 2005 self-titled debut. You can revisit our Best New Music review of that one here.
