African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Campaign Council has replied to a statement issued by Dele Alake of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, denying links to alleged letter and fabricated video.
In a press statement on Saturday, Director of Strategic Communication of ADC Presidential Campaign Council, Phrank Shaibu, said Alake accused Atiku Abubakar and ADC of a devious plan, AI manipulation, and deepfakes without providing evidence linking them to the alleged letter or video.
“Dele Alake’s statement accuses Atiku Abubakar and the ADC of a devious plan, AI manipulation and deepfakes, yet offers no evidence linking them to the alleged letter or any fabricated video. Alake should produce the evidence: names, dates and forensic findings,” Shaibu said.

He said the economic situation should be assessed based on current realities, citing petrol price around N1,400 per litre, diesel above N2,000 and food inflation close to 20 per cent.
Shaibu also questioned presence of vehicle near APC billboard, described as routine patrol, and raised concerns about the mobilisation of supporters.
He referenced reports of supporters travelling from distant states to Kaduna and reports of an accident involving supporters travelling from Sokoto and Abuja to rally, saying details remain unconfirmed and APC should account for passengers’ safety.
“Making citizens endure long journeys is not leadership. Nigerians have endured high prices and shrinking incomes,” he said.
He also questioned decision of President Bola Tinubu to campaign in 12 states.
“You can hire buses and assemble a crowd, but you cannot hire consent. Nigerians have endured punishing prices and broken promises,” Shaibu said.
He added that Atiku Abubakar will focus on making Nigeria affordable.
“Bola made life expensive; Atiku will make Nigeria affordable again,” Shaibu stated.
