Some 79% of respondents called convenience food satisfying.
More than two in three (68%) convenience-store Singaporean shoppers eat quick meals at least a few times a week, according to 7-Eleven’s Foodvenience Customer Study 2026.
The study found that 75% of 1,020 respondents expect to rely more on convenient food in the future as busy schedules reshape their eating habits.
Nearly half (47%) turn to quick meals on a busy workday. Another 36% do so when working late, and 32% when their schedule changes unexpectedly.
Convenience food aligns with busy lifestyles, according to 86% of respondents, whilst 83% said such meals are becoming more innovative.
Consumers are increasingly viewing convenience food as a viable meal option rather than simply a fallback, the report said.
Some 79% said ready-to-eat meals can be satisfying, whilst 74% rated them as good quality, and 69% said they offer value for money.
The report also found that 46% often need to eat on the go, whilst 40% eat at irregular times and 30% skip meals altogether, suggesting meals are often fitted around the day rather than planned.
Dinner is particularly difficult to plan, with 43% of respondents saying they struggle to decide what to eat on a typical weekday. The same proportion often makes last-minute meal decisions.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW
Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.
Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.
We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.
If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
