PETALING JAYA: The prices of RON97 petrol, unsubsidised RON95 and diesel will go down across the board from tomorrow, the finance ministry announced today.
The prices of RON97 and unsubsidised RON95 will both go down by 5 sen to RM5.10 and RM4.62 per litre, respectively.
Unsubsidised diesel will, meanwhile, retail at RM5.17 per litre, a 10 sen decrease.
RON95 under the BUDI95 scheme will continue to be sold at RM1.99 per litre, while diesel will remain at RM2.10 per litre under the BUDI Diesel initiative.
Subsidised petrol under the subsidised petrol control system (SKPS) will remain at RM2.05 per litre, while subsidised diesel under the subsidised diesel control system (SKDS) will retail at RM2.15 per litre.
These prices are effective until Oct 21.
In a statement, the ministry said Putrajaya would continue to protect the public and businesses from the impact of global uncertainty.
“As announced in the 2027 budget, the government is expected to spend RM40 billion on fuel subsidies next year. This is to support economic growth and safeguard the people's livelihoods,” it said.
