The stop-motion special premieres Nov. 14 and follows Penny Proud after she accidentally ruins Christmas. With the holiday in jeopardy, Penny must reluctantly step up to save Christmas for the children of Emilyville — and the rest of the world.
Joining .Paak, who voices a mall elf, are Howery as Bubble and Smoove as Mall Santa. The lineup also includes comedian Karlous Miller as Benny, rapper Tone Loc as Penny Loc, comedian Earthquake as Big Mack, Luenell as Belinda and Affion Crockett as Billy. Union will also reprise her role as Talia Rogue.
The upcoming special blends comedy and music talent for a new adventure in the Proud Family universe, allowing both older and newer fans a reason to visit the beloved animated franchise ahead of the holidays.
Much of the familiar Proud family crew will return, too. Kyla Pratt reprises her role as Penny, with Tommy Davidson as Oscar Proud, Paula Jai Parker as Trudy Proud and Jo Marie Payton as Suga Mama. Cedric the Entertainer returns as Uncle Bobby, alongside other franchise favorites, including Karen Malina White as Dijonay Jones, Soleil Moon Frye as Zoey Howzer and Alisa Reyes as LaCienega Boulevardez.
The special features six original songs, with Kurt Farquhar returning as songwriter and composer.
