The group of workers was at Pizza Gusto on Lonsdale Street about 6.37pm on October 19 when a few members went to the Cellarbrations liquor store next door to buy alcohol.
A witness said the employee at the store calmly warned their colleagues "they better leave" because there was a robbery in progress.
"They left and joined us outside at the pizza place, told us what was happening inside Cellarbrations so I got my camera out to film ...," the witness said.
The woman alleged "two young thugs" walked out of the store with stolen alcohol "calm as anything".
Another witness told this masthead the pair entered the store wearing masks and allegedly left without paying for cases of drinks without saying a word.
It's understood staff at the business acted according to their policy which was not to engage with people suspected of stealing.
Footage of the incident shows one of the accused individuals walking past Pizza Gusto carrying a case of guava-flavoured Vodka Cruiser Double and Hard Rated Alcoholic Lemon.

The second person is seen walking behind them with a red crossbody bag and a white covering on their face before crossing the street.
The video zooms in on the pair on the other side of the street where they appear to share the load before walking out of frame.
The Canberra Times understands police were not called in relation to the incident.
An ACT Policing spokeswoman confirmed the alleged theft had not been reported as of Tuesday morning, October 20.
