Police have arrested four men in connection with the shooting of 49ers defensive lineman Keion White earlier this year, the Associated Press reports.
White was hosting a private Super Bowl party in a nightclub in San Francisco when the shooting occurred in the early morning hours of Feb. 9. White was treated at a local hospital for gunshot wounds to his ankle.
Investigators used video footage and witness statements to identify the multiple suspects with firearms who confronted White.
San Francisco Police Chief Derrick Lew said authorities arrested the suspects over the past week with the help of law enforcement agencies in Atlanta; Stockton, California; Irvine, California and Los Angeles.
Curtis Green, 35, was arrested in Irvine on Oct. 7, and two days later, authorities arrested 36-year-old Gregory Walker of Mountain House, California. Walker will be charged with assault with a semiautomatic firearm -- which prosecutors say he fired -- as well as other charges for having a gun as a felon.
Green faces misdemeanor charges of brandishing a firearm and carrying a concealed and loaded gun in public.
Two other men arrested in other jurisdictions are not yet in local custody.
White has appeared in all five games for the 49ers this season and has three sacks.
