A former friend of accused double murderer Beau Lamarre-Condon has told a jury he sent her photographs with celebrities and "pretended to be friends" with them "when he was actually just stalking them".
The 31-year-old ex-police officer has pleaded not guilty to murdering Jesse Baird and Luke Davies and is on trial in the NSW Supreme Court.
He is accused of shooting the couple with his police pistol in Mr Baird's Paddington home on February 19, 2024, before attempting to dispose of their bodies in rural Bungonia, south of Sydney.
The Crown's case is that Mr Lamarre-Condon developed a jealous infatuation with Mr Baird, who ended their brief, at-times casual connection in November 2023, and that he had stalked him in the lead-up to the alleged murders.
The jury has heard allegations the accused initially attempted to sink the men's bodies in a farm's dam using quick-set cement and weights, but they were ultimately found in surfboard bags near a monastery in the area, eight days after the alleged murders.
A former friend of the accused, who is known by the pseudonym Elizabeth Kennedy at the trial, recalled on Tuesday how they reconnected sometime after 2019.
She said the defendant asked her to download the encrypted app Signal because it was safer for a police officer to use, but when his communications were about him "chasing a celebrity", she would receive photographs as iMessages.
"He would send me photos of celebrities and made out he was friends with them when he was actually just stalking them,"
Ms Kennedy said.
Lamarre-Condon became 'infatuated', jury told

The witness said she first heard Mr Lamarre-Condon mention Mr Baird in early 2023 and remembered the defendant sending her photographs of Mr Baird's work on television as a Channel 10 presenter.
"He started to tell me he's the one, and he became infatuated with him," Ms Kennedy said.
She told the jury that based on what she saw on the defendant's Instagram account, it appeared to her the two were an "official" couple, but she said Mr Lamarre-Condon was worried about Mr Baird seeing other people.
Their dates included going to a lighthouse, the Figure 8 pools and concerts, the court heard, and Ms Kennedy claimed that Mr Lamarre-Condon would "use" his pet French bulldog named Ivy during their involvement.
"He would sort of use Ivy against him, because he knew Jesse really liked Ivy, so he would sort of tempt him with the dog."
The jury has previously heard police took an induced statement from Ms Kennedy, which is a statement made under the agreement that what is disclosed will not be used against the person in criminal proceedings.
She gave evidence in court under a certificate issued by Justice Natalie Adams that provided the same protection.
Video of ballistics test released
Mr Lamarre-Condon's lawyers have indicated they will argue self-defence.
The defence case is that Mr Baird and Mr Davies died during separate struggles involving the pistol, jurors heard in the first week of the trial.
The Crown's case is that Mr Baird was shot twice in the kitchen before Mr Davies was shot through the bedroom door as he was trying to call Triple Zero (000).
A suspected bullet hole was belatedly discovered in the bedroom door in July this year, after it was previously covered by a stick-on hook and felt pad.
The court on Tuesday released a video showing a test shot from Mr Lamarre-Condon's pistol, which police fired through a similar area of the door to where the hole was found.
The video, which was played last week during the evidence of ballistics expert Lucas Van Der Walt, shows a comparison of the damage left behind by the test shot and what was found already on the door.
Mr Van Der Walt has testified that the impact was similar, including marks from "stippling", which the jury has been told can be caused by burnt and unburnt particles expelled when a gun is fired.
He told the court that the impact and spread of the particles was "very similar", and believed that the original shot would have been discharged from a "very similar distance" as the test shot of 5 to 10 centimetres from the surface.
Jury shown CCTV of accused's movements
Earlier today, the jury was shown another compilation of CCTV footage of the defendant's movements in the days after the alleged murders.
In the footage from February 21, 2024, Mr Lamarre-Condon was seen driving in his Tesla, a hired Mazda and a hired van, withdrawing cash from ATMs, returning home and stopping at Bunnings.
According to Bunnings receipts, the cash purchases included a heavy-duty tarpaulin, hi-vis shirt, shovel, coveralls, gloves and bin bags.
In other Bunnings transactions, he bought a wheelbarrow, six bags of quick-set concrete and a chainsaw.
At a Decathlon store he purchased two stand-up paddle board bags and two disc weights.
The court heard early that morning, he took an Uber to and from St Vincent's Hospital for a minor procedure.
