Another week of the fall high school sports season has come and gone in the Greater Taunton area.
Last week, Bristol-Plymouth soccer scored back-to-back wins while both Bristol Aggie and Dighton-Rehoboth cross country had a top 30 finisher at the MSTCA Bob Glennon Twilight Invitational and Taunton golf defeated Dighton-Rehoboth in a non-league showdown at their mutual home course Segregansett Country Club. On the gridiron, Bridgewater-Raynham football had a bye week while Taunton succumbed to a second half surge by Brockton, Bristol-Plymouth were out ran by Rockland at B-R and Dighton-Rehoboth narrowly fell to South Coast Blue powerhouse Old Rochester.
The Taunton Daily Gazette High School Boys Athlete of the Week for Sept. 28-Oct. 4 is Taunton cross country's Everett Mocciolo, receiving 89.9% of the vote. Dighton-Rehoboth football's Jack Lynch came in second with 2.5% while Bridgewater-Raynham golf's Reid Boyer received 1.7% to finish third.

Only players from teams that submitted stats to the Gazette or made them readily available online can be featured in this poll. Taccini went 8-of-18 passing for 136 yards and had 3 carries for 23 yards and a touchdown against Rockland.
Artie Holmes, Dighton-Rehoboth
Holmes went 9-of-19 passing for 120 yards and a pair of touchdowns against Old Rochester.
Soccer
Nate Traer, Bridgewater-Raynham
Traer scored the lone goal against Durfee.
Spencer Golden, Bristol-Plymouth
Golden kept a clean sheet against Diman.
Cross Country
Brett Gifford, Bristol Aggie
Gifford finished 10th (17:59.1, personal best) out of 151 in the Sophomore 5K at the MSTCA Bob Glennon Twilight Small/Medium School Invitational.
Golf
Brayden Smith, Taunton
Smith shot an even par of 36 against Durfee.
Kyle Johnson, Bridgewater-Raynham
Johnson shot a 37 (+1) against Brockton.
Frank Stephen, Bristol-Plymouth
Stephen shot a 38 (+2) against Upper Cape Tech.
