Police say they responded to the call for a collision involving a pedestrian at 4:30 a.m. on Riverside Drive near Data Centre Road.
Two pedestrians were crossing the street when one was struck by a vehicle, according to paramedics spokesperson Marc-Antoine Deschamps. One woman was located with critical injuries, while the other pedestrian was not injured.
Paramedics tried to stabilize the woman on scene, Deschamps said, but she remained in life-threatening condition when she arrived at the hospital.

Riverside Drive northbound is closed between Heron Road and Data Centre Road and the north and southbound off-ramps from Riverside Drive to Bronson Avenue are closed.
“Traffic is being redirected,” police wrote on social media. “Please avoid the area and expect significant delays on your morning commute.”
This comes after two pedestrians were killed in collisions in Ottawa last week, prompting police to issue an urgent plea for all users to prioritize road safety.
