These Heidi Klum Costumes Prove She’s The Reigning Queen Of Halloween

Over the years, Heidi Klum has treated us to an array of Halloween costumes, from a sultry Jessica Rabbit to an ageing grandmother complete with varicose veins. Even the cancellation of her annual bash in 2021 couldn’t dampen her enthusiasm: instead, she released a spooky seven-minute film in which she took the starring role. In 2022, she transformed into a worm, followed by an elaborate peacock in 2023, brought to life with the help of multiple Cirque du Soleil performers. She then enlisted no fewer than 30 special-effects artists to turn her into ET in 2024.
As for 2025? Medusa. “I look forward to Halloween all year,” Klum told Vogue shortly before arriving at her party last year. “I have been doing this for 24 years, and hope I can do it forever. Every year, I get more inspired and more enthusiastic. It is just a perfect day to be silly, dress up, dance with friends, be creative and eat candy!” With past costumes ranging from Lady Godiva to Betty Boop, the supermodel has made an art form of keeping us guessing. Below, Vogue revisits the looks that earned Klum her crown as the undisputed queen of Halloween.

For her 24th annual Heidiween party, Klum slithered onto the Hard Rock Hotel red carpet dressed as Medusa – a transformation that took more than 15 people and six months to realise. “I wanted to explore the classic monsters of history, and reimagine one in a modern way,” she told Vogue. “Medusa stood out to me as truly iconic – mysterious yet ferocious. The legend of her turning humans to stone has fascinated audiences for centuries. In museums, countless paintings and sculptures depict her haunting power, a testament to how terrifying and compelling she remains.”

Klum and her husband Tom Kaulitz both went as ET, with the help of 30 FX artists, who spent an entire year crafting two versions of the beloved character. “Most of my costumes aren’t comfortable to wear for hours,” she told Vogue. “But I love the end result so much that I push through.”
