Dewan Rakyat to discuss M40 aid, MADANI programme spending, ZTPP effectiveness, women’s policy and social media age limits for gaming platforms
KUALA LUMPUR: Aid for M40 households, allocations for the MADANI school and Kampung Angkat programmes, and the effectiveness of the Tourism Compliance Focus Zone (ZTPP) programme are among the issues scheduled to be raised at the Dewan Rakyat sitting today.
According to the Order Paper on the Parliament website, Datuk Adnan Abu Hassan (BN-Kuala Pilah) will ask the Finance Minister to explain measures to help M40 households no longer eligible for targeted aid but affected by rising living costs, including a mechanism to reassess eligibility based on current income and expenditure.
Datuk Dr Richard Rapu @ Aman anak Begri (GPS-Betong) will ask the Finance Minister to explain the detailed breakdown of the RM50 million and RM200 million spent on the MADANI School and Kampung Angkat programmes, to ensure transparency over the financial impact and the actual number of beneficiaries under the People’s Housing Programme (PPR).
Another question is from Hassan Saad (PN-Baling), who will ask the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister to state the performance indicators used to assess the effectiveness of the ZTPP programme in reducing complaints of excessive pricing.
Also listed is a question from Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah (PN-Indera Mahkota) on the status of implementation of the National Women’s Policy 2025-2030 to date.
