Seoul's Nowon District is accepting nominations through Nov. 6 for its 2026 Nowon Citizen Awards, which recognize residents and groups that have contributed to the local community.
The awards cover nine categories: parents, filial devotion, volunteer service, youth, educational development, the environment, welfare, culture and sports, and economic promotion. One recipient will be selected in each category.
Eligible nominees are residents who have lived in Nowon District for at least three years, or groups and their members based in the district for at least three years.
Ten or more residents may submit a joint nomination. Nomination forms should be filed with the district office's self-governing administration division or a community service center.
The awards will be presented on Dec. 11, and recipients will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Nowon Citizens' Center.
