The Night in Context
Tonight’s confirmed line-up in Rio is smaller than usual for a Saturday. Three events have a venue, a date and a time we could check, and only two have a price we could verify.
That is why this guide names what we could not confirm instead of filling the gap. Venue programmes often show old dates, so we only list events whose 2026 date appears on the listing.
Dionne Warwick’s “Over and Out” tour is billed as her farewell to the stage, which makes tonight a one-off for fans. The Vivo Rio is among the largest concert halls in Rio, so the evening feels more like a theatre than a club.
Brazil also votes in the presidential runoff on 25 October, eight days from tonight. Election day is a Sunday, so check transport and opening hours before you travel that weekend.
Prices and line-ups come from listings checked on 17 October and can change at the door.
Practical Notes
- —Transport The nearest Metro station to the Circo Voador is Cinelândia, about a 7-minute walk. After a late show, a rideshare through Uber or 99 is the easiest way back to Copacabana, Ipanema or the centre.
- —Weather The evening is mild at about 21°C (70°F), with a 47 to 55 per cent chance of rain. Bring a light rain jacket, since queues for Lapa venues are mostly outdoors.
- —Tickets Buy through the venue or its official ticket seller. Avoid street resellers outside the Circo Voador.
- —Safety Keep phones in a front pocket in Lapa at night, carry a copy of your passport rather than the original, and agree the pick-up point with your driver before the show ends.
