Security forces killed three terrorists and surrounded seven others during ongoing operations after foiling attacks on a vacant construction company camp and a hotel in Gwadar.
Security sources said on Thursday that three terrorists were killed during an operation against militants affiliated with Fitna al Hindustan at the camp and three others were surrounded at the site.
In a separate operation, four terrorists were cornered inside a hotel near the Gwadar Highway. The Gwadar General Officer Commanding was personally leading the operations.
Pakistan has witnessed a sharp increase in militant attacks, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, since the Afghan Taliban returned to power in 2021.
Islamabad has repeatedly urged Kabul to prevent militant groups from using Afghan territory to carry out attacks inside Pakistan. But the issue remains a major source of tension between the two neighbouring countries.
