The Imo state Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the party’s ground forces’ commander in the state, Ibeh Franklin Kennedy Chukwuemeka, has expressed confidence in the party’s prospects ahead of the 2027 presidential election, attributing its anticipated performance to Governor Hope Uzodimma’s developmental projects and sustained political mobilisation.
Chukwuemeka said the infrastructural development and political activities undertaken by Uzodmma in Imo state and across the South-East had contributed to strengthening APC’s presence in the region and that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would emerge victorious.
He argued that the governor’s leadership and development initiatives had helped reshape the political landscape, while expressing optimism that the party would consolidate on its support base ahead of the next general election.
The APC youth leader also commended the party’s National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel, for his nationwide mobilisation efforts, which he said had contributed to strengthening the party’s grassroots structures and engaging young people across the country.
He further highlighted the roles of the Minister of State for Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, and Seyi Tinubu in youth engagement and political mobilisation.
Chukwuemeka described their approach to youth engagement as instrumental to the party’s efforts to connect with younger Nigerians and rally support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He particularly praised Seyi Tinubu, describing him as an example of a supportive son, while acknowledging the contributions of the various youth-oriented figures to the party’s mobilisation activities.
According to Chukwuemeka, the combination of Uzodinma’s development initiatives in the South-East and the nationwide engagement efforts of APC youth leaders had positioned the party to approach the next presidential election with confidence.
He maintained that the party’s mobilisation efforts and growing political activities would present significant challenges to opposition parties, declaring that the contest had, in his assessment, “been won and lost already.”
