In the footage, the officer is seen sitting comfortably in the passenger area, scrolling through his phone, while the driver records from his seat and demands that the officer step out before he goes anywhere.
Driver Refuses to Move Until Officer Gets Out
The officer reportedly wanted the driver to proceed to the nearest police station to face charges, but the motorist flatly refused to cooperate while a stranger remained inside his vehicle.

Despite the officer's calm insistence that they simply drive on so charges could be filed, the driver held his ground.
"Get out of my car, I know where the police station is. You do not even have particulars of yourself, no name, no service number and you are in my car, get out please. You can even plant bhang back there get out," the driver said, his voice rising as the officer remained unmoved.
The driver made clear he was not attempting to flee. He told the officer he was perfectly willing to follow him to the station in his own vehicle, but refused to allow anyone to ride inside his car unannounced.
He also took issue with the manner in which the officer had entered the vehicle without any prior introduction or identification.
"Before entering the car, you should even identify yourself; you just opened the door and entered. This is not a toilet," he said.
Kenyans Divided Over the Incident
The clip drew strong and contrasting reactions from viewers across social media.
Faini Mwangale:
"Before you open your mandibles to badmouth a law enforcer, read on the powers and privileges that the law vests in a police officer."
Bernard Kurgat:
"My car ni matatu, let's respect law enforcers, uniform ni identity already."
Gracee Kanyua:
"This a tour vehicle, the guy ako na guts cz he knows his rights."

The incident reignited long-running questions about the boundaries of police authority when dealing with civilian motorists, with many Kenyans divided between backing the driver's assertion of his rights and urging greater deference towards uniformed officers.
