It appears that The Nature Boy is going to be OK.
Ric Flair’s daughter, fellow WWE wrestler Charlotte Flair, provided an update on her father’s health after the wrestling legend experienced a scary fall on Friday.
“Not my dad telling the doctor he fell bc of warrior dropping him on his head… (ps: he’s going to be ok),” Charlotte wrote on X Friday evening, referencing her father’s infamous rivalry with The Ultimate Warrior.
Her positive update comes hours after the WWE Hall of Famer “suddenly fell and injured his face” outside a restaurant in Tampa, Fla., TMZ reported.
According to TMZ, Flair got up from the bar at the restaurant and walked across the street without his phone or drink before falling.
Flair, 77, reportedly slashed his head and eye open before leaving in an ambulance.
The ugly fall came shortly after Flair revealed to fans on social media that he was diagnosed with a blood clot in his leg, which caused him to cancel a scheduled appearance at Washington State Horror Con in Seattle.
“Unfortunately, I Am Dealing With A Blood Clot In My Leg, And My Doctors Have Limited My Travel To 3–4 Hours,” Flair wrote in a post on X Friday morning. “Seattle Falls Outside That Range, And As Disappointed As I Am, I Have To Put My Health And Recovery First.
“Blood Clots Are Extremely Serious And Can Be Life-Threatening. We Have Seen This Recently With Jalen Hurts And The Complications Involving Blood Clots In His Lungs. It Is A Reminder That This Is Not Something To Take Lightly, And I Must Follow Medical Advice.”
Flair added that he would be undergoing a procedure to treat the blood clots which he hoped could allow him to resume his traveling.
“I’m Scheduled To Have A Procedure To Strip The Affected Vein, Which My Doctors Expect Will Allow Me To Be Cleared For More Travel Afterward,” he said.
