A Queens mom was charged with murder in the death of her adult autistic son – who was found with a slashed neck inside their home last week, cops said Thursday.
Suk Kuen Wong, 62, was also slapped with a weapon possession charge Wednesday for allegedly slaying Bryan Wong, 25 — whose horrified dad discovered him with slit wrists and a gash to his neck inside the family’s Woodside home Oct. 14, cops said.
Suk Kuen later leapt off the Van Wyck Expressway in an apparent suicide attempt after the alleged murder, and was left hospitalized with a broken pelvis and femur, law enforcement sources said.
Cops responded to the three-story walk-up apartment building on 59th Street near Laurel Hill Boulevard around 8 a.m. after the slain man’s father found him bloodied on a pull-out couch, police and sources said.
The victim had suffered cuts to both his wrists and a wound on the left side of his neck, and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
At least three knives were recovered from the home.
The disturbing crime shocked neighbors, who last week described the Wong family as friendly and quiet.
“They’re very quite nice family,” one local resident said. “I never hear anything wrong with them before. It is very sad because I’ve been living in this area for almost 31 years. I have seen this boy growing up. So, he was like, to me, as a son.”
Wong was still hospitalized Thursday afternoon and no arraignment date had been set, prosecutors said.
