SARGODHA, Oct 14 (APP): University of Sargodha Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Tasawar Hayat inaugurated a blood collection and donor registration camp organised by the Blood Donor Society in collaboration with Safe Life Thalassaemia Centre, Sargodha, and the Directorate of Students Affairs.
The vice chancellor appreciated the students who donated blood and commended the volunteers of the Blood Donor Society and Safe Life for their humanitarian efforts, saying that voluntary blood donation could save lives and offer hope to patients requiring regular transfusions.
The camp provided blood group testing, donor registration and blood collection facilities. Separately, Safe Life facilitated free registration of children suffering from thalassaemia and haemophilia for free blood transfusions and medicines.
The initiative highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation and community support for children living with blood disorders. It also encouraged students to contribute to a culture of compassion and civic responsibility, reinforcing the message that a single donation can make a life-saving difference.
