It's an exciting time in Milwaukee, Wis., right now after the Milwaukee Brewers swept the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS on Thursday night to advance to their first World Series since 1982.
The NBA season is about to begin, too, beginning this upcoming week, meaning the Milwaukee Bucks will start their 2026-27 season. The Bucks' home opener was scheduled for Friday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. CT at Fiserv Forum against the Chicago Bulls.
However, Game 1 of the World Series is set to be played in Milwaukee at American Family Field on the night of Oct. 23. There was concern of there being an overlap of the two Milwaukee teams playing at the same time.
The Bucks courteously announced on Friday that they would be moving the start time of their home opener up to 3 p.m. CT so there isn't a time conflict for the city's fans.

...
“The Brewers’ return to the World Series for the first time in 44 years is a special moment for Milwaukee and sports fans across Wisconsin. Congratulations to the Brewers and the entire organization on this tremendous achievement, and we’ll be cheering them on as they begin their World Series run," the Bucks' statement read. "The Bucks are proud to move our home opener to 3 p.m. in recognition of this historic occasion and thank the NBA for making this schedule change possible.”
It's always nice to see a city celebrate its fellow sports teams.
The Brewers still don't know who they will be facing in the 2026 World Series. Their AL opponent will either be the Cleveland Guardians or Tampa Bay Rays. The Guardians currently lead the ALCS 2-1.
